Free Download: Escalator for 3dsMax 4 and up
This emperial escalator was made from a manufacturer's catalogue. The tread width is 3' and it's total width is 5'. It is semi-parametric. To change the height (currently at 16') open the group, go to the vertex sub object of the mesh. The vertices are selected. Use select and move with the reference coordinate system set to parent and the axis restricted to x. Move the vertices to the desired floor level. Use the grid or eyeball to just above the floor height in one of your orthogaphic views. To copy, move and erase treads, go to the reference coordinate system pull-down and select pick. With the group open, select escela-body. Select escala-rise and go to the spline sub-object. Select and move or copy appropriate risers in the x axis. Tip: to convert imperial (U.S. standard) to metric (generic units) scale objects by 2.54%. Metric to imperial is scaled by 3937%. Click on image below and select save to disk to download.
